The Arthur's Pass Wildlife Trust is a community-driven charitable trust committed to the recovery of wildlife within and adjacent to the Bealey Valley, Arthur's Pass National Park. Whilst many volunteer hours are dedicated to this project in trap line management, the Trust incurs considerable expenditure in financing the expansion of it's trapping activities, and in utilising new technologies to build a more robust and effective predator network. All work undertaken follows accepted Department of Conservation guidelines.
An overview of this work can be seen at the Trust's website - www.apwt.org.nz. - together with particulars of the Trustees and their Mission Statement.
As a charitable trust registered with the Charities Commission ( No. CC46685) and having IRD donee status, contributions to this project over NZ$5 are tax deductible within New Zealand.
Predation by stoats, weasels, possum, feral cats and rats, has impacted seriously on the local population of great spotted kiwi, whio/blue duck, kea, rock wren, and all other native species. Your generous contribution towards their protection and recovery, through the Trust's project, is greatly appreciated - and helps us to help them.
